THE NOVEL: SPARGO'S CONFESSION

“There in the corner of the churchyard, under the cliff of beeches and sycamores that surround it, by the old slate wall covered with ivy and toadflax, I felt I wanted to remain: out of the strivings of the world and its calamities, at peace there in the sunshine and rain, hearing only the slight sway and creak of the yews when the small breeze reached their top branches, and the flitting of chaffinches and wrens about me.”

THE BAND

Spargo was a funk-disco and neder-disco dutch band created in 1975 in Amsterdam and split in 1984.
