In May 2013 Small Green Shoots received additional funding from the Arts Council as part of the Catalyst Programme. Catalyst is a £100 million culture sector-wide private giving investment scheme aimed at helping cultural organisations diversify their income streams and access more funding from private sources. The culmination of this two-year programme saw the organisation officially become a charity and launch with a screening and presentation at the W Hotel Leicester Square.
The charity launch event included the first screening of a film featuring Natalie Wade (the founder) and apprentices, and an acoustic performance by Thabo.
Spargo Productions managed the production of the event.
